Affirmative Action Plans

We can help you to develop, implement, and maintain a written Affirmative Action program covering minorities and women, individuals with disabilities (IWD’s) and veterans.

According to federal regulations and requirements, Federal contractors having more than with 50 or more employees are required to develop, implement and maintain a written Affirmative Action program covering minorities and women, disabled persons and veterans. An Affirmative Action Plan is a complex document which includes statistics, analyses and other required information. It is a plan for ensuring that minorities, women, veterans and IWD’s are employed and moved through the work force in representative numbers.

The Department of Labor’s regulations, require covered employers to make a good faith effort to meet these goals — but, even if you do not meet them, you will still be in compliance with the government’s Affirmative Action regulations, if you have a fully developed Affirmative Action Plan on hand and if you have implemented it. That’s why it’s so important to make sure that your Affirmative Action Plan is (1) written according to the government’s requirements, and (2) updated on an annual basis. Without the plan, the company is subject to federal sanctions which could include the loss of contracts and would more likely include an enormous amount of federal oversight and supervision of your employment practices and policies.
